How to use this couples budget worksheet
Enter monthly take-home income for both of you. Add shared bills, a savings amount and personal spending. The amount left to plan is income minus everything you have assigned. A negative result means the plan needs adjusting.
Agree on who pays
Choose which bills are shared, then decide how to divide them. Use an equal split, an income-based split or another amount you both agree on. This household worksheet does not assign individual contributions. Use the rent calculator for that calculation.
Review once a month
Compare the plan with what happened. Update income, bills and savings before the next month starts. Add individual debt payments and other costs under personal spending if they come from this income.
